A Lusaka man has divorced his wife after she appeared half-naked and drinking alcohol in a music video by popular artiste Chile One, calling her behaviour inappropriate.
Kelvin Muzunda told the Chelstone Local Court that he only discovered his wife’s appearance in the video after a friend shared the link with him, prompting him to see her actions firsthand.
The case involves Precious Mutetwa, 25, from Kalingalinga, who initially sought reconciliation after separating from her husband Muzunda, 28, of Mtendere. When reconciliation efforts failed, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable misunderstandings.
In her statement to the court, Mutetwa said their marriage, which began in April 2025, lasted only seven months. “I am 25 years old, I live in Kalingalinga, and I work as a hairdresser. He is my husband,” she stated.
The court is now handling the proceedings as the couple moves forward with their divorce.
