Kuchalo Honours Kaunda with Virtual Panel Discussion

Kuchalo has organised an in-depth virtual panel discussion in honour of Zambia’s founding President, Dr Kenneth Kaunda, under the theme: Peace, Unity and Humanism: Reclaiming Dr Kenneth Kaunda’s Vision for Zambia.

The discussion was moderated by Noah Ndhlovu, Executive Director of Primier Media, an educational enterprise committed to promoting knowledge and civic engagement.

The panel brought together voices from academia, media, civil society, student leadership and publishing to reflect on Dr Kaunda’s legacy and its relevance today.

Among the panellists were University of Zambia political historian Dr Bizeck Jube Phiri, Chief Visionary Officer for Sotrane Publishers, Dr Sydney Muponda, journalist and media consultant Austin Kaluba, Mukuba University Students Union president Nedson Bwalya, and founder and Country Director of Families Are Nations, Mrs Judith Mwila.

During the discussion, participants explored Dr Kaunda’s writings, his philosophy on nation-building, his family values as Zambia’s First Family, and his political journey as the country’s first republican president.

The panellists also examined how Kaunda’s ideals of unity, peace and service can continue to inspire young people in modern Zambia.

The programme is scheduled to be broadcast by Primier Media on April 28, which marks Dr Kaunda’s birthday.
