The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has introduced a campaign timetable for all political parties and candidates participating in the 2026 General Election at constituency level.
Speaking in a statement issued to the media, ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager Patricia Luhanga said the campaign schedules are intended to provide a fair and equal platform for all candidates contesting in the August 13 polls.
Luhanga explained that presidential candidates will also be required to align their campaign programmes with the schedules prepared for respective constituencies and districts.
She noted that the arrangement follows agreements reached with various stakeholders during a consultative meeting held in April.
According to the ECZ, the campaign timetable is aimed at promoting orderly campaigns and ensuring equitable access to campaign opportunities for all participating political parties and candidates ahead of the elections.
Zambia is expected to hold its 2026 General Election on August 13, with all contestants required to conduct campaigns in line with the guidelines set by the Commission.
