Diaspora Investors Focus on Zambia’s Kazungula Region

KAZUNGULA (Zambia) — Zambians living abroad (in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa) are actively exploring investment opportunities in the Kazungula district, targeting real estate, tourism and infrastructure. A high-level virtual meeting included district planning officials and diaspora representatives. The district, boosted by infrastructure such as the Kazungula Bridge and a one-stop border post, is positioned as a regional trade and tourism hub.

This trend highlights how diaspora engagement is becoming an integral part of Zambia’s development strategy.
