Prophet DM Siame of the Mercy Seat of God Church of All Nations has ignited a wave of public controversy after making bold claims about marriage, childbearing and biblical obligation.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Prophet Siame argued that a woman’s responsibility to bear children can, in certain circumstances, outweigh strict marital fidelity.
He stated that if a husband is unable to father children, it is acceptable for a woman to conceive with another man in order to fulfil what he interprets as God’s command to “be fruitful and multiply.”
The remarks immediately drew strong reactions online, with many people accusing the prophet of promoting immoral behaviour and misinterpreting Scripture.
In response to the backlash, Prophet Siame took to social media, where he blocked more than 300 critics.
He insisted he would not retract his statements, saying he is accountable only to God and has no intention of reshaping his message to appeal to public sentiment or protect anyone’s ego.
Prophet Siame also broadened his comments to address sexual morality in general. He argued that any sexual behaviour practiced outside what he believes to be its divinely intended purpose is sinful.
While he did not provide detailed explanations, he maintained that his teachings are rooted in his understanding of biblical principles.
His comments have continued to spark debate within religious circles and among the public, with some calling for clearer guidance from church leaders and others questioning the prophet’s interpretation of marriage and family responsibilities.
