Zambia, Israel Pledge Stronger Collaboration During Historic State Visit

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has concluded a two-day reciprocal State Visit to Zambia, marking a significant milestone in the longstanding relations between the two nations.
President Hakainde Hichilema described the visit as a reaffirmation of the deep friendship and shared values that unite Zambia and Israel. He said Zambia looks forward to enhanced collaboration with Israel in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, health, education, mining, and science and technology.
In a farewell message to his counterpart, President Hichilema expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit, emphasizing its symbolic and practical importance.
“It was a great honour to host President Herzog and his delegation. We deeply appreciate the gracious words of goodwill and blessing he pronounced over our nation,” he said.
He added that the visit had strengthened the foundation of mutual respect and cooperation between the two countries.
“This historic visit has further deepened the enduring friendship between Zambia and Israel — a partnership founded on shared faith, mutual respect, and a common vision for peace and prosperity. May the seeds of goodwill sown during this visit grow into lasting prosperity for our two nations,” President Hichilema stated.
